Happy Birthday!!

Today we celebrated Brynlee's third birthday. She is growing so fast, it is hard to believe that it has already been 3 years since the day she joined our family. Brynlee loves to do so many things, she loves to dance and sing, read, dress up like a princess, play with Gracen and she loves going outside to play! She is full of energy and loves to entertain us and get smiles out of her little Gracen. We have been so blessed to have you in our family and just couldn't imagine life without you. Happy Birthday Brynlee, we love you!!

I was mommy tagged by Nate's brothers wife, Kate, a couple of weeks ago, I figured I better get to it or I never will...

1. Typically, what time do you wake up in the morning? Let's see, I usually get out of bed at all hours of the night, then we get to 5 a.m. and every half hour from there to 7 a.m. I get up and give Gracen his binky hoping he won't wake up Brynlee, then she comes and joins us in bed for a half hour until I finally decide to go make breakfast at 7. I think I need a new sleep system!

2. On a good night, what time are your kids in bed? Since Brynlee decided naps were not fun, we've been getting both of them in bed by 7 or 7:30. I have to say I love early bed times!!

3. How long have you been a mommy? It's hard to believe, but it has been 3 wonderful years! (it's Brynlee's birthday on Monday)

4. How old were you when you became a mommy? I was 21.

5. What is your favorite kid TV show/movie? It is so hard to choose, I love all the disney movies. Brynlee is a big fan of Cinderella.

6. What is your least favorite kid TV show? Caillou and the Wonder Pets are competing for first place on my least favorite list!

7. What is your favorite chore? I really like vaccuming. I love it when the floor looks nice and clean and there are little vaccum lines across the floor. (does that make sense?)

8. What is your favorite meal to cook? I have a new recipe that I love called cream cheese chicken with black beans. It is so00 good and really easy to make.

9. What is the meal you cook most often? I really try hard to not make the same thing too frequently, I tend to make a lot of dinners with chicken.

10. What is your kids favorite meal? Brynlee loves noodles with white sauce (chicken alfredo) and orangearoni and cheese (mac and cheese), and Gracen is only eating rice cereal and avacodo right now and he loves them both...mmmmmm!

11. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids? I absolutely love it when he takes Brynlee on dates. She loves it too! I also love it when he sits down and reads books with Gracen or trys to make him laugh. What a great dad he is!

12. What are 5 things that make you smile when being a mom?

• The way Brynlee can make Gracen laugh like no one else can.
• Seeing Gracen doing new things.
• Brynlee's dancin moves.
• I can't help but smile when Brynlee is in trouble for something and she throws out some random comment to be funny and try to get me to laugh instead of being mad.
• When Brynlee says "I love you", and Gracen cuddles.
• I love it when I walk in to get Gracen after his nap and he is all smiles.

13. If you could take your kids anywhere, where would it be? Back home to Utah, we miss our family and friends and Brynlee loves to go see her cousins. (great news, were going back to Utah on April 21st!)

14. When was the last time you went out without your kids? That was a couple of weeks ago when our friends Bonnie and Chess watched Brynlee and Gracen so we could go out. We went to a Mexican resturaunt and then we went to buy some shoes for Nate at Burlington coat factory.

15. What is your favorite past time/activity to do with your kids? I love going outside to play. The weather is trying to decide if it wants to be warm, so we have been able to make it to the park a couple of times the last few weeks.

16. Name 1 thing you said you'd never do as a mom. I'd have to say daycare. I can't handle all of the germs and I want to be the one to see all my kids firsts.

17. What is your favorite quality that your mom has? She has always worked hard to make sure her kids are happy and have what they need.

18. What is your advice for new moms? They grow so fast, enjoy every minute of it!

19. What is the scariest or most heartbreaking moment as a mom? When my kids are sick and there is not a whole lot I can do.

20. What is your most joyful moment of being a mom? Oh, there are way to many to name, there are joyful moments every single day.

21. When was the last time you were told "I love you" by one of your kids? This morning when Brynlee woke up. Gracen likes to say it by smiling really big!
