Oh Brynlee!

A few days ago we had one of those "Oh Brynlee" moments!
She did something I said my kids would NEVER do!
{It actually happens a lot more than I wish to admit!}

She thought it would be so fun to practice up on her hair cutting skills!
Gracen was one of her many clients!
I found a doll with a lovely haircut a couple days later!
She also cut her own hair, that is how I discovered what had happened.
She came out of her bedroom, with a hand full of long blonde hair.
Lucky for her, she didn't cut much of her own!

I had to put on my mean face, the best I could, and try not to laugh!
His hair looked terrible.
A bald spot here, and a bald spot there!
She also threw in some really short bangs for him, but just half of them.
I'm just glad she didn't chop too much on either of them...
It is just hair and it will grow back!
As for this little girl, she is hanging up her hair scissors for a couple more years!
We only cut paper!

This little Cowboy...

Just might be the cutest I've ever seen!

Grandma Woolsey got Gracen all set up to be a cowboy!  He loves it!

He was so excited to go get his picture taken in his Cowboy hat.
He was so good and just kept making this cheesy smile!
I think he might be disappointed next time we get pictures done and he isn't a Cowboy!

The list is IN...

Today is the last day to put in our rank list for the Residency Match!
Nate has had his in for a few weeks and made one change to it on Sunday, but that was just to switch his 4th and 5th spot.
I'm nervous, anxious, and very impatiently waiting for March 18th to come!
Can this month drag on any slower?

Nate applied to about 30 programs and was very blessed to receive a lot of requests for interviews.
He turned down a lot of places.  It was just too overwhelming to travel so much.
He ended up doing about 11 or so interviews and decided he only liked 8 of those programs enough to rank them.

The places we could possibly end up are:
(not in any particular order!)

Utah!!!!
Can you tell I'm very excited about this one???  It is #1 for the sake of being closer to family.  Its a good program.  Nate liked some other programs a little more, but we want to get close to home if we can!
Trying not to get my hopes up, but wouldn't it be awesome???

2 in Ohio
Indiana
Wisconsin
Kentucky
Colorado
Texas

Wherever we go I know it will be great, and I am soooo excited to find out!
Can hardly wait!!

One Determined Little Girl!

I have been crocheting quite a bit lately trying to get sizing and everything ready to open up my hat blog.
Brynlee WANTS to learn!
A few days ago, I was sitting at the table working on something and she asked me if I would show her how to crochet.  I told her she would need to learn how to tie her shoes first, then I would teach her.
I was thinking that would buy me some time!

10 MINUTES LATER...

She's Got it!!

I had her tie it 7 times to see if she could do it, and she had it!
The next morning, she got up and tied it again!
She asked, "Now can I learn to crochet?"

Do Your Ears Hang Low?

Gracen has become quite the little singer lately!
 I love it!
He will just randomly start singing songs we have been learning in nursery that I didn't know he could!  His TWO favorite songs are Do Your Ears Hang Low, and Happy Birthday!

I thought I'd share a couple quick videos of him singing!  Enjoy!

Gracen learned this song from his Daddy!  We always sing a couple of songs for him during his bedtime routine and this one he loved!
I especially enjoy the hand motions of this one!

Of course Happy Birthday is one of his favorites!  He would have a birthday party every day if he could!
LOVE this sweet little voice!
On occasion, we even get a REALLY high pitched version of Happy Birthday!
