I hate to do it, but...

I think I've decided to make my blog private.

If you care to know, here is why...

In the past, I've had a few blogs I read go private with reasons of keeping their families safe from the crazy people out there in the world.  I've never heard anything bad happening from blogging, but can think of a few reasons that I've considered going private.

Today when I got on here to update the last few weeks, I noticed that I had a few more followers than I used to.  (It's been a while since I've checked, cause it doesn't really matter to me)
There was a name listed that I did not recognize and didn't recognize the picture with it either.

So, trying to figure out who this person is, I clicked on a few of the blogs she (It's a girl in the picture?) follows and there were some in another language.  I called Nate up and showed him, he read it and it was no good.  Anyone looking at what this person is looking at is not someone I want reading my blog.
I'm very certain we don't know who she is.

At this point, I'm even more nervous.
Starting to wonder if I should make my blog private to keep creepy people away from it...
and no longer just *hope* that none are reading!
My family's safety is my number one concern.  I love blogging and having family and friends be able to know what we're doing.  I hate to complicate it with going private, but that is what I feel is best for us!

For the Google Reader users out there (I love Google Reader!), I'm copying one of Nate's friends from High School and setting up a blog where I will post a link when I have updated my blog so you will know when there is a new post.  The blog address is:
nate-ericathompsonupdates.blogspot.com

Now, is there anyone that even still reads my blog???  Haha!
Anyone and everyone is invited as long as Nate or I know who you are!
I know there are a few, so if you would like to continue to keep up with us leave a comment with your email or send me an email to either my Gmail account if you have it, or my junk email is ericathomps@yahoo.com

I won't change it to private for a few days, so don't be shy...let me know you're out there!

Here's a recent picture of my 3 favorite monkeys...

3 Months!

I can't believe my baby is already 3 months!  Time has gone by WAY too fast!

He had to go in for a weight check on Monday to be sure he is still gaining weight.  He almost gained a pound in 3 weeks.
His weight was 11lbs. 13ozs.  His pediatrician seemed to be happy with that.

The only problem he's having now is that the Zantac he's been taking quit working, and he's not eating very well again.  I just picked up a new prescription for prevacid, so hopefully once it starts working for him we'll get back on track again.

Other than the reflux issues, Bridger is an amazingly easy baby!  We wouldn't even know he was having a hard time if it wasn't for him refusing to eat.  He'll eat for a few minutes and then just start smiling and talking, and won't take any more.

He loves to eat his fist, it's never just a finger or two in his mouth, it's the whole fist!  He's started grabbing at my hair when he sees it and really tries hard to get a hold of it.

He naps really good, and loves to have white noise in the background while he is sleeping.  Sometimes he'll even nap for 3-4 hours if I'll let him.  He's still waking up once during the night, usually around 4 a.m.

Yesterday he got his first little haircut.  I trimmed the really long hairs on the top of his head so they were the same length as the new hair that's grown in.  It's not easy cutting a wiggly baby's hair, so it probably isn't the best hair cut, but it'll do for now!

He so smiley and fun and we love having him around!

Rapeepzel...

Brynlee was given an assignment to do a Peep's diorama for school.  She wanted to do something from the movie Tangled.  This is what we came up with...

It slightly resembles this...

Doesn't it???
Maybe if you squint your eyes a bit?
I did my best.  I'm not very good at this sort of thing.
It was fun working on this project with her.
She did the coloring, I cut out and glued the clothes on them, and she helped me put the peeps in place.

Spring Break

Last week was Spring Break!!  I loved having Brynlee home, and Nate even took off Thursday and Friday so he'd have a 4 day weekend to spend with us!

We started off the week by staying home and getting a few projects done.
Bridger had his 2 month well check.

Here are the stats for his visit:
Weight  10lbs 14ozs  15-25th percentile
Length  23 3/8 inches  50th percentile
Head  16 inches  50th percentile

The doctor was semi concerned with his weight dropping from the 50th to 25th percentile, so Bridger has to go in for a weight check next week to make sure he is still gaining.  Bridger also now gets to take zantac.  He was a happy baby that rarely cried and quite frequently grunted his way through the night, and is now a happy baby with NO grunting!  Which makes for one happy momma!  I wasn't getting much sleep listening to all of his grunting, even though he'd only been waking up once a night to eat.
I came home from the appointment and gave him the zantac, and that night he slept so well!  I love it!  And am so glad the poor little guy isn't suffering in silence any more.

Here he is, happy as can be!  See that cute little dimple on his left cheek??  I love it!

Over the last week or so he has given us a few little giggles.  It is so fun!  I just can't get enough of this little guy!  He started to roll on his sides and even from belly to back once or twice.  He still absolutely adores his big brother and big sister and smiles whenever he sees them.

Back to Spring Break....Thursday we were going to go to the zoo but the weather decided it wasn't going to cooperate.  It was cold, windy, and looked like it may have been snowing over by the zoo.  We ended up going to a place called Mr. Biggs.  It's a family fun center.  The kids had fun.  Here are a few pictures from there...

Friday was a bit nicer weather.  Still kinda windy, but warmer.  We headed out to Calhan to a place called the Paint Mines. It was fun.  We walked on a trail that took us back into the paint mines, which are rock formations with tons of colors.  Pink, purple, white, yellow, orange, blue, green...

We spent about 3 hours, and there was still more to see.  Bridger was quite the little trooper and hung out in the snuggli while Nate carried him the whole time.  He just slept.  We had to cover him because of the wind.

It's hard to see Bridger, but he's there...tucked in Nate's jacket.

On Saturday we did a little shopping and took the kids to have lunch and play at Chuck E Cheese.  The pizza wasn't so good, but the kids didn't care.  They had fun playing the games.

That about sums up our Spring Break.
