Nate has been one busy guy these last 2 weeks. He is in his internal medicine rotation, and lets just say now I understand a little better what other wives meant when they said, "Are you ready to be a single mom" although I am sure it is nothing like the life of a single mom, things sure have been crazy trying to do the whole day plus dinner, and the bed time routine by myself. I feel like I have really taken for granted the help that I get from Nate.
Yesterday Nate had a pretty easy day, lectures all morning and a group meeting so he didn't have to work in the hospital. Brynlee has been asking when we can go eat lunch with daddy like we used to (she has really been missing him) so since he knew what his schedule would be like we were able to meet him at the hospital yesterday for lunch and a short walk. We stopped by the library on the way home and picked up the movie Meet The Robinsons and headed home for a nap. Nate got home just after 4p.m. so we popped some popcorn and watched the movie. Its a really cute movie. Brynlee loved having daddy home and being able to spend time with him!

Medical students wives are the only ones who feel this way...there are pressures everywhere for them to work longer days, so I completly understand how hard it is sometimes to have to do all day and then bedtime too. I always enjoy it when Chris can be home to help! I hope to see you tomorrow.
Yeah... WHO TOLD US THAT 3RD YEAR IS BETTER THAN THE FIRST TWO!? HMMM... But I hear, from the columbus students, that fourth year is the best. So here is to the crossed fingers.
Sounds like you guys had fun!
I can't even imagine that life. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job of holding down the fort! Hopefully Broc gets into a school nearby, then we could be "single moms" together! Hang in there he is almost done... Yay!
Yay when daddy is home! I totally understand how you feel. Even though I'm here with my parents, my mom works until 9 or 9:30 so I do the whole dinner thing, bath, and put to bed. It's hard but hang in there! Miss you!
Glad you guys got a little dad time. Sounds like his is pretty busy. We recently discovered Meet the Robinson's as well, and Natali asks to watch it everyday. She pretends that she is playing with Lewis. I thought the movies was great as well.
Log's in family medicine right now, and he and I both are loving it. The hours are awesome. I mean he's home by noon usually on Fridays. But I hear Internal Med is hard. I'm not looking forward to that one. I'm glad you could have some fun family time though in the middle of craziness. Hang in there, thank heavens it's only for a month right?
