Nate's brother's wife, Kate, posted this fun idea on her blog, so we had to give it a try! We finger painted with pudding! I mixed up a box of vanilla pudding and added a few drops of food coloring and there you have it... edible, kid friendly finger paints!
Although it was a little messy, the kids loved it and I didn't have to worry about keeping it out of Gracen's mouth!
Brynlee wasn't too sure of the idea at first. She requested a paint brush, it wasn't long before she got into it with her fingers!
Gracen knew what to do!
It quickly found it's way into his mouth!
Brynlee thought I was crazy for telling her to taste it!
I love the bright colors!
He insisted on having all of the colors on his side! If I moved one of them over to Brynlee, he would pull another one back into his reach! He learned to say each of the colors that we had!
It can be so hard to find fun activities to do with a 3 &1 year old together! Thanks Kate for this great idea!
What kind of fun activities do you do with your kids to keep them entertained?
I'd love to hear your ideas!

I love this idea and agree that it will the eliminate the "NO don't put that in your mouth" part of it. It is tough to find things to do with them both. I try crayons sometimes, but eventually Isaac eats it and gets mad that I take it away. We do play-do when I am feeling brave. Again Isaac has eaten his fair share. We read A LOT of books together. Thanks for sharing this idea!
Looks like you had fun! I'm glad it worked out as well for you as it did for us!
The next thing I'm gonna try is getting Bracken to lace cheerios on a shoelace.. should be interesting!
I love that Brynlee asked for a paintbrush..oh so funny!!! What a great idea though, looks like they had fun!
What a fun idea. I think both my boys would enjoy this one. Hey, I thought I had your number but I don't. I wanted to call and tell you that if you and the kids want to come out with Nate you are all more than welcome to stay here. We will have to get in touch so we can chat more about it.
