Yesterday was Brynlee's first primary presentation. She has been practicing the songs all year long, and this last week she was given a scripture to say during the presentation. She didn't fully understand what she would be doing, but I had her work on it all week and we read it a few times a day.
Wednesday night was the practice for the presentation and all week Brynlee had been telling me about the ice cream sundaes they were going to have. She, Lauren and Emily all picked sprinkles for their topping and Zach and his brother picked M&M's. I waited out in the foyer with some other parents while they were in practicing and toward the end, someone told me that once they were done with the practice Brynlee raised her hand and asked, "Do we get to have ice cream now?" That's my girl, gotta love the ice cream! I have a hard time believing that my quiet little Brynlee actually raised her hand and asked about the ice cream, but then again, she had been talking about it all week!
Brynlee worked hard and got most of her scripture memorized and I asked the primary president to let her try to say it on her own and just help her if she needed it. I wasn't sure if she'd get up there and see all of the people watching her and freeze up. She got up and did a great job! She only had help with one little part that she always seems to skip right over. She didn't talk quiet or act shy at all! It was good to see her be involved and enjoy it!
When we got home, we were talking about it and she said, "The Holy Ghost helped me to remember." I love seeing her apply the things she is learning about the gospel. She knows that the Holy Ghost will guide her and help her! It is so fun to see her little testimony starting to grow!

I'm sad I missed the primary presentation!! Good job to Brynlee! What a little sweetie pie.
The video is set to "private" though, so I couldn't watch it...
I love it! The look on her face as she finishes is sooo cute!!!!
Brynlee is such a cute & smart girl! I love primary programs - I can only imagine how fun it is to see your kid up there and do their part and do it well - way to be a great mom and help her do her part!
I want an ice cream sundae too! ;)
That's so cute. I am glad that you included the video so we could hear her say her part. She did great!
