Okay, so pregnancy has really taken the blogger right out of me...not that I'm that great at it anyway!!
This summer has been pretty crazy for our family. There has been so much going on, and so much that hasn't been happening at all the way we've wanted it to. I've been pretty frustrated with our whole situation. We are all struggling with our living arrangments, and very ready to be done living out of a suitcase! We've spent the majority of that last 2 months in Utah. It has been fun to be in Utah with family and friends, but I'm ready to get settled in Colorado!
A couple of weeks ago I drove Nate back to Colorado to start his residency. We're still somewhat homeless...not really, but it feels that way! Nate's been staying at another residents house while he is
away on vacation. Perfect timing if you ask me!
I think he's liking his residency program, as much as you can tell from Nate anyway! We're pretty lucky with Pathology, we won't be seeing anywhere near the 100 hour work weeks that some of our friends have already had! There is NO internship year!! I truly am grateful for that, it's hard enough being in Utah away from him, but to be in Colorado Springs by myself without him being around would be really hard.
Back in mid may we found a house we really like, it's a short sale, but about 70% of the homes we've seen are short sales. We made an offer and it was accepted by the owners, then we waited, and waited, and are still waiting for the bank. That is the most frustrating part for me. Not knowing when we can move in, and what's happening with it. Being pregnant doesn't help with this situation...I REALLY lack patience when I am pregnant. If you asked Nate he would probably tell you that I am mean when I am pregnant! I can't help it, that's just the way it happens.
Anyway, this week we found out that the owners of the home are finally willing to let us move in to rent it from them until the short sale approval goes through and we can close. Which means, the kids and I can move and be with Nate in Colorado in just over a week!! I am so excited for some normalness for me and my kids! We've really missed Nate, it's been hard to spend so much time away from him.
We have a fun week planned next week, playing with cousins, visiting some friends, and I have one last doctor appointment before we go.
Boring post, but I don't really have many pictures with me (they are on Nate's computer) and I plan to...well maybe, catch up on the fun stuff we've done this summer once we get settled in Colorado.
For now, if anyone out there is curious as to what we've been up to that's about it (fun stuff will come later).
I've had many people wonder where I was...and a few that think we're in Colorado...not yet, but soon!!

Erica, I know how hard it all is. My frustration is our house not selling and it stresses me out daily, all though there isn't much I can do about it except pray a million times a day, which I do.
SO I really hope the bank okays the offer so you don't have to move again. Good luck to you!
I don't know much about short sales, but I have heard they can be a nightmare to work with. What I never get is...you want to buy it, the owners want to sell it, so what's the hang up?! Doing this is all with two small kids, pregnant, and with out Nate deserves a GIGANTIC gold star. AWESOME about Nate's work schedule. I guess all those grueling hours of insane studying are definitely paying off. Man Nate is one smart guy. I'd love to chat once you get time and feel up to it. We'll keep our fingers crossed about your "living situation".
Trust me when I say you are not the only one that has no patience while they are pregnant. I hope your house goes through soon but until then at least you guys finally get to be all together. Good luck with the move.
I'm glad you will have a place to stay in Colorado soon. I can imagine your excitement! I hope things will close up soon for you on the house. Short sales can be very frustrating!
