Fishing at Rampart Reservoir

On May 7th we went fishing at Rampart Reservoir.  It's about an hour drive west of here, near Woodland park. It was a perfect day!

Brynlee caught 3 fish.  Nate had a few that got away, and Gracen may have had one that got away.  I can't remember for sure.  We had a blast!

My favorite picture!!  She's such a girl!  Leaning away from the fish.

My sweet happy little man!

We miss the beaches in Ohio a ton!  This is the first beach like experience since we moved.  Not quite the same, but they were lovin it!

4 Months

My little baby is getting big too fast!
This last month has been fun and a bit challenging at times.  Bridger is such a good baby.  I love that through all of his GI troubles, he keeps on smiling.  He is still struggling with eating.  The medications he was given to help, have helped a bit, but he still has pain.  We ended up going to a pediatric GI doc last week, and more experimenting.  Not what I was hoping for!
He switched Bridger to Elecare, which is an elemental formula, to rule out milk protein allergy.  It has no milk protein in it at all.  It's also extremely expensive.  We are doing this for a 2 week trial, if that doesn't help (which it doesn't seem to be) then he will be having some tests done to find out why he is having so much trouble.

I hate that my kids have all had such trouble with eating.  We thought that since we've been down this road before, we'd know what to do and stay one step ahead of this little guy.  He didn't agree.  He thought we needed a new challenge.

At his 4 month appointment, this little boy was:
12lbs 14ozs (10-15%)
25 1/4 inches long (50%)
16 5/8" head circ.  (50%)

When he is feeling good, he loves to just sit and talk to himself or anyone who will listen.  He's getting really good at holding his toys and getting them in his mouth.  He doesn't mind tummy time and is getting good at rolling from his belly to his back.  Once he propped his leg up under mine and rolled from his back to his belly.  His sleep habits haven't been the greatest this month, due to the reflux.  We had some bad nights where he was waking up 2 or 3 times.  Now we're getting up just once.
He laughs at mom the most, and occasionally at Brynlee.  One of my favorite things he does...when I tickle him behind his ears he closes his eyes, pulls up his arms, scrunches up in a ball and just lightly chuckles.   I love it!
Just this week he became interested in his feet.  He usually tries to eat them.

Spit bubbles...

On April 17th Bridger was blessed by Nate.  It was a beautiful blessing, and we were happy to have a few visitors here to share in Bridger's big day!

Big Brother and Big Sister Love this guy!  They are always fighting for his attention.

Bridger and Great Grandma Fackrell
He's a jumper!  Doesn't matter if he's in the jumperoo or if your holding him, he loves to jump!

Love this Guy!!

Jumpin'

Grandma and Grandpa Woolsey spoiled my kids and got them a trampoline.  It was for Brynlee's birthday, but they had been planning to get one for them since we moved here last fall.

We love it!
I love that it helps the kids get out some extra energy.  They just love jumping on it!

Six Years Old!

Now that the blog stalker issues are under control, I can play catch up again!

It seems like having 3 kids is now starting to catch up with me.  It wasn't so bad in the beginning, but Spring came and life got busy!

One of the most significant things that has happened over the last month....
My Girl Turned 6!

It seems like time is going too fast!  I just want to make it slow down a bit!  She had a great birthday, and was looking forward to it coming for weeks.

The morning of her birthday she woke up to lots of balloons.  We let her open her gifts before school since Nate was on call, and we weren't sure if he'd be around any other time that day.   We took cupcakes for her class, and she got to choose where we went for dinner...McDonalds.   Then home for cupcakes and to sing happy birthday to her.
 Sunglasses from Gracen.

She got the movie Tangled, and a Rapunzel doll.  I love the excited look on her face!

The day after Brynlee's birthday, Nate's parents and his Grandma were coming to visit for the weekend.  They brought a special birthday surprise for Brynlee....Her cousin Brooke!

Brynlee was so excited when she saw that Brooke came with them!  When they got here, I took Brooke over to Brynlee's bedroom door and when Brynlee saw her she just kinda flopped over on her bed and started giggling.   She kept telling everyone that Brooke was her birthday surprise!

On Saturday, we had a birthday party for Brynlee.
She was so excited to have her friends over.  It wasn't well planned, but here is what we did...
First all the kids played a game where they had to race to pop all the balloons in the basket.  It was funny watching these 2 girls.  They were both afraid of the sound and kept plugging their ears, and couldn't get their balloons to pop.
The next game we played was dress up like Brynlee's daddy race.  They had to put on the scrubs and a hat as quick as they could and pose for a picture.  There was lots of giggling during this game!

Then we went in and had some pizza and somehow the cake disappeared!  We couldn't find it anywhere.  The kids did a cake hunt, that lead them back to the table for some Hello Kitty birthday cake.

Usually I take a picture of the cake, but I didn't have one of just the cake, but you can kinda see it here...
This was probably one of the easiest cakes I've made her, and it turned out pretty cute!

She opened her presents, lots of barbies!

Brynlee with all of her friends, kinda funny how 2 of the boys are sitting away from all the girls!

It was a fun birthday for this six year old girl!
She is growing up to be such a fun, sweet girl!  I just love her so much.  She loves to read and write, loves playing with Bridger and Gracen and is such a good big sister.  One of her favorite things to do is color and draw, and she really enjoys spending lots of time playing outside.

Happy Sixth Birthday Brynlee!!
