My little baby is getting big too fast!
This last month has been fun and a bit challenging at times. Bridger is such a good baby. I love that through all of his GI troubles, he keeps on smiling. He is still struggling with eating. The medications he was given to help, have helped a bit, but he still has pain. We ended up going to a pediatric GI doc last week, and more experimenting. Not what I was hoping for!
He switched Bridger to Elecare, which is an elemental formula, to rule out milk protein allergy. It has no milk protein in it at all. It's also extremely expensive. We are doing this for a 2 week trial, if that doesn't help (which it doesn't seem to be) then he will be having some tests done to find out why he is having so much trouble.
I hate that my kids have all had such trouble with eating. We thought that since we've been down this road before, we'd know what to do and stay one step ahead of this little guy. He didn't agree. He thought we needed a new challenge.
At his 4 month appointment, this little boy was:
12lbs 14ozs (10-15%)
25 1/4 inches long (50%)
16 5/8" head circ. (50%)
When he is feeling good, he loves to just sit and talk to himself or anyone who will listen. He's getting really good at holding his toys and getting them in his mouth. He doesn't mind tummy time and is getting good at rolling from his belly to his back. Once he propped his leg up under mine and rolled from his back to his belly. His sleep habits haven't been the greatest this month, due to the reflux. We had some bad nights where he was waking up 2 or 3 times. Now we're getting up just once.
He laughs at mom the most, and occasionally at Brynlee. One of my favorite things he does...when I tickle him behind his ears he closes his eyes, pulls up his arms, scrunches up in a ball and just lightly chuckles. I love it!
Just this week he became interested in his feet. He usually tries to eat them.
Spit bubbles...
On April 17th Bridger was blessed by Nate. It was a beautiful blessing, and we were happy to have a few visitors here to share in Bridger's big day!
Big Brother and Big Sister Love this guy! They are always fighting for his attention.
Bridger and Great Grandma Fackrell
He's a jumper! Doesn't matter if he's in the jumperoo or if your holding him, he loves to jump!
Love this Guy!!

Oh Erica I'm so sorry you're going through such a hard time. I know all about the reflux roller coaster as I like to call it. All my girls had reflux and some eating issues but Macey tops them all off. She actually ended up having the anti reflux surgery a year ago. She was on Neocate which is the equivalent of Elecare and all sorts of meds, which didn't do anything. I'd love to talk with you and see if I can help in any way. Please email me at jenny.rosenlof@gmail.com or call me at 570-955-7663. I am still going through feeding difficulties with Macey (she's on a feeding tube) and its so exhausting. I'm here for you and I hope things get better! Give me a call or send me an email. hang in there.
