This past summer my Mother-in-law taught me how to crochet these really cute little hats. I loved it! Once I figured it out anyway! Ask my sister, my first attempt did not look anything like a hat!
So, today I wanted to ask my readers...anyone and everyone...What do you think???
I fear that some of you might be thinking...there are already tons of people selling hats like these on etsy, etc. Mostly I am thinking of selling them around here, in Ohio. These hats aren't big here, not nearly as common as they are in Utah. So I figured I'd give it a shot and see what happens. Why not, right?
With the help of a friend of mine, I got very excited about this! Even if I fail, it's been fun! So before I dig in, I was hoping you would tell me which style (there are 4 different ones), colors, etc. you like. Any color combinations you think would be awesome? Which flower is your favorite?
My favorite part just might be having my very own little model!
(So... this picture looks kinda scary, but it is Ohio State colors! One of the requests I had.)
I've already sold a few to someone who saw Brynlee wearing her pink one and loved it. It's kind of exciting! Once all of the holidays are past us and I can get things going we'll probably have some sort of giveaway and start this new little adventure! I'll keep you posted!

You already know that I love them. I really like the pink one with the purple flower that Brynlee is wearing! I also really like the pink and white combo.

Wow! I love them. If I had a girl I would buy one from you. My favorite hat style was the second one. It was a light pink color. I have to say I love them. What do they cost?
Oh how I LOVE them! It's so funny I was out here in Utah this summer looking for one just like those and I couldn't find one that I loved. I finally found one (back in Iowa), but I LOVE yours! I love all the styles and the color combos. I think grey and pink or grey & white would be cute to. Or even black with a pink flower. How long does it take you make one? And how much are you going to charge. Maybe i need one Hawkeye colors or BYU colors.
I'm not sure how much I'm going to sell them for yet. The ones I did sell were $15 each.

I'm not sure how long it really would take if I sat down and just did that. Usually I have to stop for kids or I'll be watching t.v. part time while I work on it.
If I had to guess I'd say it takes 1-1 1/2 hours.
They sell other places from 15 on up. I've seen some for less than 15, but they were more like 6 and I'm not sure they were actually hand made.
What price do you all think would be good?

Could you put gray in the middle of the flower on the Ohio State one? People around here would goes nuts!

I LOVE everyone of them. The first picture is my favorite style and my favorite flower, but they are all great. If you could put the grey on the OSU one like Kari suggested, they would go like crazy! I think $15 is a good price as long as you feel you aren't selling yourself short!
There are a ton of colors that would look great together, I really like the white with a pink flower, and the brown & pink one (my favorite color combo). Could you just get a bunch of different colors and have people special order, or are you planning on making them all in advance?
If you find you need kid-free time to work on them let me know! I would love to babysit for you!

I love the brown one - it would work with almost any color on it and still be a favorite of mine... pink, cream, white, purple, green...

Hey I think that your model is the cutest thing! I think that 10-15 is a good price. I was thinking mybe a dark green hat would be cute with either a pink or white flower. Good luck with everything.
