We had an amazing Thanksgiving Week...it was the first time in 4 years to spend this holiday with family!
Nate's mom and dad got here the Saturday before Thanksgiving to spend the week with us! Brynlee and Gracen were thrilled to have Grandma and Grandpa here! Before they came, Gracen even asked Grandpa if he would bring his "fweeler" (four-wheeler) with him!
Brynlee and Gracen loved all the attention! They got lots of play time with Grandma and Grandpa!
Brynlee had a Thanksgiving feast at preschool that Tuesday. This year we were asked to bring a dessert, so we decided it would be fun to make little oreo turkeys!
Grandma helped us make them!
They were pretty easy to make and quite cute! Brynlee liked putting on the eyes and beaks!
We took a drive up to the Marblehead lighthouse. Last time Nate's parents were out here we didn't know anything about the area and with no internet to check things out we didn't do a whole lot. This time we wanted to try to show them some of the sites! The weather wasn't cooperating too well, it was a beautiful, really cold day! We didn't last long at the lighthouse! Then we went and enjoyed some toft's ice cream!
Gracen wouldn't hold still, he loved running around and exploring the flat rocks!
For some unknown reason Brynlee decided to pose all over the place for pictures! This doesn't happen too often, usually I have to talk her into letting me take pictures!
Thanksgiving day started out pretty much like they usually do, I sent Nate out for a newspaper for the black Friday ads, we were just about to put in the turkey when we got a phone call that Nate's grandpa Fackrell had been admitted to the hospital during the night. Things didn't sound good. We rushed to get Nate's mom to Cleveland to try to get back to Utah to be with her mom and dad.
It was sad for us to have to send her home early, but we knew that Grandpa Fackrell needed her more than we did! We were all worried for him and hopeful that he would be okay. He is one of the sweetest, kindest people I know! It's hard to recieve news of something so awful, but on a day like Thanksgiving, I think it helped me to feel just a little more grateful for the things I have! Most of all, thankful with each passing day news that has been good, Grandpa is improving a lot! Times like this make it so hard to be away! We love Grandpa Fackrell and are so grateful for more time to spend with him here on earth!
This Thanksgiving I am grateful for so many things:
A wonderful Husband
2 beautiful Children
Spending time with family
Prayer
Good health
The Gospel
and most of all,
Amazing Family and Friends!
We had a great Thanksgiving week, and want to be sure that Grandma and Grandpa Thompson know we are so grateful they came to see us! Thanks again, we can't wait to come home again in May!

Brynlee's hat is sooooo cute!
We went down to Provo last night. It was the first time we have been able to go down and see Grandpa since everything happened. It was hard to see him looking so tiny and vulnerable. He didn't really talk (which we all know is not grandpa!)but he did smile and wink at me!
